About
Hi, I’m Camilla and welcome to my little slice of the web. It has been in existence since 2001 and has been used as a blog on and off during that time. Now it has found a more permanent use in the form of a portfolio and blog so, enjoy browsing!
Anyway, I’ll tell you a bit about myself too. I was born in the UK and I’ve lived here all twenty years of my life. Of course there was a few holidays abroad thrown in and I think we moved once or twice… but promptly moved straight back to our old house so I guess that doesn’t really count. However, my heritage spans back to Cyprus. My Grandfather and his brothers left Cyprus for England in the 1950s for a new life and we’ve been here ever since. I finally managed to visit for the first time in 2006, which helped spark my interest and passion for Photography.
I’ve been web designing since I was about eleven years old, but I soon branched out into Graphic Design which I studied at college. During this time I also studied Photography but for now I think it will remain a great hobby for me. Since then I have moved into the world of typography which I enjoy learning about. I am in my second year studying Design for Publishing at Norwich University College of the Arts which I love.
When I’m not at the computer you’ll most likely find me gardening. If not, you’ll find me reading somewhere or paper cutting. I always loved words; stories have enchanted me since I was very small but in recent years I have developed an appreciation for the paper that the words dance across. I began experimenting with cut paper in college and in my spare time I can be found making cards, bookmarks and other things. I’m also an avid dog trainer, my Shetland Sheepdog, Carly, is a joy to work with, I train her in obedience and when she’s old enough, agility.
